He is survived by: his wife Karen McMullen (Brockmeier); his children, Joshua McMullen (Dana), Shawn McMullen (Alyson) and Kristen Merriman (Ryan); his grandchildren, Aaron, Avery, Emily, Lukas, Hayden, Briana, Chloe and Jack; his siblings, Margery Abel (Frank), Kenneth McMullen (Maribeth) and Joann Rineer (Robert); and his sister-in-law Debra McMullen.
