William J. Doherty Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 20, 2026, at the age of 77, William J. Doherty of Quarryville, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint William leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Doherty and Mary Doherty (Gavin); and his sister Janice Doherty. He is survived by: his wife Mary Doherty (Muir); his children, Mary Lou Frazier (Rick Gomez) and Brian Doherty (Susan); his grandchildren, Matthew Frazier, Amanda Doherty and Christopher Doherty; and his brother James Doherty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Avon Grove Church of the Nazarene (240 State Rd, West Grove, PA 19390).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (https://donate.cancer.org) or to the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum, organizations that reflect causes and interests that were meaningful to him.
