He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert P. Harakel and Delores E. Harakel (Messner); and his sister Deborah Groff Minnich. He is survived by: his wife Deb (Smith); his children, Melanie Saul and Michael Harakel; his great grandchild Genevieve; and his siblings, Edward Harakel (Hope), Anthony Harakel (Rebecca), Andrew Harakel (Janell) and Stephanie Troutman (Eric).
