She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Sterling Schappell Jr.; her parents, Earl E. and Helen I. Shollenberger (Wentzel); her children, Jarrod Schappell (Vicky), Jenessa Speicher (Joshua) and Jillian Hole (David); her grandchildren, Gabriel and Josephine Speicher; and her brother Denton Shollenberger (Emily).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County to honor Brenda's love and compassion for cats.
