He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Benfer and Barbara Benfer Smith (Reed). He is survived by: his wife Elena Benfer (Onina); his children, Kyle Ingram (Caislin) of Lebanon, Zachary Benfer of Lebanon, Shelly Beeler (Michael) of Waynesboro and Ariel Kissinger (Luke) of New Paris; his stepsons, Ilya Ignatenko (Jenna) of Reading and Alexander Ignatenko (Shannon) of Philadelphia; his sisters, Susan Trimmer of Carlisle and Peggy Jones (Tom) of South Bend; and his grandchildren, Elijah Kissinger of Lebanon and Mackenzie Beeler of Waynesboro. He is also survived by four nephews.
