She was predeceased by: her husband David D. Shaner Jr.; her parents, Elwood Stapleton and Dianne Millisock (Cerniglia); her siblings, Barry Stapleton and Brenda Heck (Stapleton); and her stepdaughter Lisa Harris (Shaner).
She is survived by: her daughter Kathryn Gilbert (Shaner); her son-in-law Troy Gilbert Jr.; her grandsons, Lincoln and Spencer Gilbert of Reading; her brother Randy Stapleton of Denver; her aunts, Sandra Lengel of Leesport and Nancy Hartman (Yeich) of Birdsboro; and her extended family, Andrea Stephens of Middletown, Robert, Sherri Shaner of Mohnton, Olivia Shaner (Alyssa Undheim) of Shillington, Josephine Kopcik of Reading and Brian Harris of Bernville.
