With sadness, we share the passing of Elizabeth Malafarina-West of Reading, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth, born on November 3, 1957, passed away on August 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Custer and Harvey Custer. She is survived by: her husband Joseph West; her siblings, Larry Custer, Michael Custer, Anthony Malafarina, Kathleen Leonard, Maggie Contino, Thomas Custer, Anne Iannelli and Lucy Corsello; her adoptive children, Gary, Alyssa, Nate, Jayla, Destiny and Ariel; and her grandchildren, Charlotte and James. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church (1921 W Main St, Norristown, PA 19403). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens (352 S Gulph Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Janey to the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church.
