He was predeceased by: his mother Violet Focht (Haas); and his brother Lester "Sonny" Focht. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Focht (Spangler); his father Lester Focht; his children, Darryl Focht (Beth), Gary Focht (Holly) and Deneen Melos (Glenn); his grandchildren, Bryan Focht (Katie), Ashley Saucier (Joe), Courtney Derr (Vince), Kevin Focht, Sean Focht (Sharon) and Mackenzie Capito (Lucas); and his great grandchild Miles Derr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to the Alzheimer's Association.
