He was predeceased by: his parents, Giovanni Salamone and Maria "Mary" Salamone (Esposito); his son John Joseph Salamone; and his wife Mae. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Bales of Reading, Maria (Kevin Kieffer) of Wernersville and Clarissa (Tom Enslin) of Muhlenberg Township; and his grandson Frank Salamone II. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the John P. Feeney Funeral Home (625 N 4th St, Reading, PA 19601). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Ignatius RC Church (2600 St Albans Dr, Reading, PA 19609). A burial will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Chapter 131 Vietnam Veterans of America or the Butterwick League of the Maine Corps.
