We announce the death of Genevieve Hoshauer of Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 93. Genevieve will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Matthews (Hahn) and John Matthews; her spouse Dale Hoshauer; and her siblings, Marie Geigus, Harry, John and Jerome.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Marie Smutek, JoAnn Gierschick, Barbara Eckert, Thomas Hoshauer, Arthur Hoshauer, David Hoshauer and Ann Marie. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
