He was predeceased by: his former wife Shirley A. Smith (Bingaman); his parents, Paul J. Smith and Clara E. Smith (Keeney); and his sister Shirley L. Chelius (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Catharine I. Smith (Moyer); and his brother Donald R. Smith (Nancy (Gehrhart) Smith) of Fredericksburg. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
