He was predeceased by: his wife Velvet Contsicos; his daughter Patricia Ann Machemer; and his brother William J. Miller. He is survived by: his children, John Machemer (Stacy), Courtney Contsicos, Jessie Contsicos, Demitrius J. Contsicos, Cheyenne Contsicos, Summer Bell, James Machemer, David Machemer, Donald "Butch" Machemer and Eileen Machemer; and his brothers, Leon Miller (Rosemarie) and Harry Miller. He is also survived by Dad was also blessed with 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (1001 E Wyomissing Blvd, Reading, PA 19611). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor and memory of John Contsicos "Greek" may be made to Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
