He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arthur Best and Anna May DeBellotte; and his sisters, Hazel Simmons, Daphne Francis and Viola Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta DeBellotte; his children, John M. DeBellotte, Maureen DeBellotte, Kathy Hamilton and Laurien Frazier; his stepchildren, Anthony Bell, Theodore Bell, Karen Bullock, Rachel Buchanon, Deanna Jackson, Sheila Jones and Audrey Green; his siblings, Jeremiah Roberts, Albert DeBellotte and Dorothy McLeod; and his grandchildren, Antonia DeBellotte, Danier DeBellotte, Cassandra DeBellotte, Felicia Hamilton, Marcel DeBellotte, Abdul Uqdah, Aaliyah Jackson, Kenyata Uqdah, Ibene Buchanon, Gabrielle Vasquez, Angela Bell, Kalise Cook, Shakir Cook, Cameron Bell, Korahn Williams, Rakia Wiggins, Jahmel Williams, Marques Johnson and Marissa Johnson. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rehoboth Seven-Day Adventist Church (1502 Snyder St, Reading, PA 19601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Berks County Memorial Gardens (201 Evansville Rd, Fleetwood, PA 19522). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 6:30 PM.
