He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Fordyce (Becker) and John F. Fordyce; his wife Jane L. Fordyce (Koller); his son John K. Fordyce; and his siblings, Raymond Fordyce, Joseph Fordyce, Betty Fair, Dorothy Raab, Hazel Gutekunst and Jane Bright.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Fordyce (Susan), Kathleen Wummer (Michael Wummer) of Fleetwood, PA and Michelle Marinucci (Michael Marinucci) of Reading, PA; his brother Jacob "Jack" Fordyce of Reading, PA.; his grandchildren, Kate Murphy (Bernard Murphy) of Wayne, PA, Laura Wummer of Bethlehem, PA and Matt Mohr (Tara); and his great grandchild James Murphy of Wayne, PA..
