With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John C Shearer (Reading, Pennsylvania), who passed away on September 20, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles S. Shearer and Pearl N. Shearer (Etchberger); and his sister Candace Steinmetz. He is survived by: his wife Dawn E. Shearer (Kerchner); his sons, Kurt Shearer, Mike Shearer (Shannon) and Brian Shearer; and his grandchildren, Austin, Aubrie, Kaitlin, Cole and Maggie.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Olive Leaf Chapel (840 Fritztown Rd, Reading, PA 19608). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Olive Leaf Chapel (840 Fritztown Rd, South Heidelberg Township, PA 19608).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VA Lebanon Healthcare System, 1700 South Lincoln Ave., Building 18, Lebanon, PA 17042.
