John Abel wrote a sympathy message

“Well it started out rough between Lonnie and I but we grew to become good friends over the course of time. Lonnie was such an empathetic, loving person getting to know him was like a blessing in disguise looking back. There's few people I know today that have a heart like he did, that have an almost visible kindred soul, and that light of his will always be alive in my memory of him. It hurts to know he passed because I had absolutely no idea until a couple hours ago, and he was such a good person, so intellectual, so intelligent.. I remember him and I beginning to get to really know each other despite our past disputes. It took about 40 seconds conversating before I felt his pure positive vibe emenating out of who he was. Ill miss you Lonnie but ill NEVER forget you.”
