She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Robert Whitehead Eyre and Lydia Argoe Eyre of Philadelphia; her husband Harry; her sons, David, Mark (Helene) and Paul (Sarah); and her sister Margaret "Peggy" Thorndike (Richard).

She started Good News Club meetings in her home shortly after getting married and didn't stop working till the pandemic of 2020.
