He was predeceased by: his parents, Millicent Schiffman (Oritsky) and Phillip Schiffman. He is survived by: his wife Janice McGill Schiffman; his son Matthew Schiffman; and his cousins, Jill Skaist, Mimi Oritsky, Sandy Hyman, Sheila Parrish, Alan Rovner and JoAmy Shulman.
Donations to the Literary Council of Reading Berks in Michael's memory would be welcomed in lieu of flowers.
