He is survived by: his wife Militza Acevedo (Colon); his sons, Miguel Acevedo III and Eric Acevedo; his siblings, Wilson Acevedo-Perez (Dorothy), Carmen Thompson (Anthony), Maritza Acevedo and Daly Smith; his grandchild Iana Acevedo; and his great grandchildren, Sincere Rawls and Nova Rawls.
