She was predeceased by: her parents, Mariantha Xavios (Kritikou) and Peter Xavios; her husband Louis J. Ballas; and her siblings, Diamond Aretis, Irene Karetas, Efie Lambi, Peter Charles, Nick and Spiro Xavios.
She is survived by: her daughters, Maria L. Ballas (late S. Henry Lessig, Jr.) and Cindy L. McGowan (Don Binkley); her grandchildren, Benjamin D. McGowan, Kristen M. Sterner and Marco A. Lessig; her great grandchildren, Bryson and Dawson McGowan; and her extended family, Constantine, Helen Greek Orthodox Church and Wyomissing Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Sts. Constantine and Helen Church, St. Jude Childrens' Hospital or the Animal Rescue League of Berks County in her name.
