Robert Phelps Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Robert Phelps of Reading, Pennsylvania is shared. Robert, born on July 7, 1934, passed away on September 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Robert will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Robert by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Robert is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Robert’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Phelps and Callie Mae Phelps (Medley); and his siblings, Luereen Jane Phelps, Mendella Fains, Roland Phelps and Edward Phelps.
He is survived by: his daughter Debbie Duncan; his grandchildren, Corey Norris and Jasmine Duncan; and his sister Adell Archer-Phelps of Clearwater. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Harris Funeral Home (222 N Front St, Reading, PA 19601). The military honors will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
