He was predeceased by: his parents, Rachel E. Burns (Moyer) and Charles A. Burns; and his brothers, Thomas W. Burns and Gerald F. Burns. He is survived by: his wife Donna L. Burns (Powell); his children, Jeffrey M. Burns, Donna M. Miller (Bob Miller), Cheryl A. Burns and William A. Burns (Sherri Burns); his brother Frederick A. Burns; and his grandchildren, Josh Burns, Deven Miller, Mollie Burns, Callan Burns, Matt Burns, Zach Burns, Chelsea Flach and Rachel Burns.
