He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce D. Fies and L. Jane Fies (Rentschler); and his sister Dian Butterweck. He is survived by: his wife Susan E. Fies (Giles); his daughter Allison N. Clark (Shawn); his sister Robin Fies; his grandchildren, Chase and Emerson; and his nieces and nephews, Bobbi Butterweck, Marci Harr, Lauren Deweese and Shawn Deweese.
