He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle L. Ankney and Katherine Penrod Ankney. He is survived by: his wife Elois Porterfield Ankney; his sons, Eric T. Ankney (Tammy) of Jones Mills and Gary L. Ankney (Bobby) of Rector; his siblings, Steven L. Ankney (Kelly) of Ligonier, Connie Kimmick of Rector and Tammy Naugle (Richard) of Champion; his grandchildren, Shannon Bowlby (Carver), Macklyn Ankney, Samantha Petrasun (Jon) and Erica Brock (Keegan); and his great grandchild Ayla. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home (144 E Main St, Ligonier, PA 15658). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
