He was predeceased by : his parents, George Tyler Stone and Velma Lee Rich of Tennessee; and his sister Darlene Caldwell. He is survived by : his wife Ann Stone (Weisel); his children, Marie (Richard Koenig) and Timothy Tyler Stone (Laurel Stone-Howard); his grandchildren, Zachary, Ben, Jackson and Esther; and his brother George Tyler Stone (Susan).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to either the American Heart Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
