She was predeceased by : her parents, Murray J. Schoomaker and Iva Schoomaker (Workinger); and her brother John Schoomaker. She is survived by : her husband Gary N. Krout; her sons, Eric N. Krout (Maria) of South Carolina and Jason C. Krout of York; her grandson Jonathon C. Krout of South Carolina; and her sister Mary Laskaris (Thomas) of Delaware.

“Not sure that anyone in your family will recall my name or me but v Barbara and I go back many years——like fifty. I first met Barb at the pool where we maybe met up at least once a week for those beautiful years while raising out families. Later we met almost every year at Blueberry Hill, by accident, to pick blueberries, and then I cannot tell you how often I would see Barb at Lion’s Pride with Janet Isett whom I also knew and we would catch up on things. Barb often crosses my mind. Marilyn”
