She was predeceased by: her husband Walter A. Sweitzer; her parents, Curtis E. Godfrey and Edna M. Godfrey (Keeney); her grandmother Logan Holly Sweitzer; her son Dennis A. Sweitzer; and her siblings, Glen, Ken Godfrey, Orpha Bahn and Esther Hengst.
She is survived by: her sons, David L. Sweitzer of New Jersey and Curtis K. Sweitzer (Nancy) of York; her daughter-in-law Joan E. Sweitzer of Felton; her grandson Matthew J. Sweitzer (Jennifer) of York; her sister Bernice Zellers of York; Gary H. Leighty of Dallastown. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. (35 Gotham Pl, Red Lion, PA 17356). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Susquehanna Memorial Gardens (250 Chestnut Hill Rd, York, PA 17402).
