He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert L. Cernetic and Helen Annamarie "Nancy" Shiemer Cernetic; and his wife Carol L. Giddings Cernetic. He is survived by: his daughter Patti Householder (Rick) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Austin Householder of Elizabeth City, NC and Shayne Householder of Maiden, NC; and his brother Rich Cernetic of Glenshaw. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
