David Reid Schaffner Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2025, at the age of 84, David Reid Schaffner Sr. of Renfrew, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas A. Schaffner and Beulah L. Morrow Schaffner; his siblings, Karen Schaffner, Thomas Schaffner and Timothy Schaffner; and his brothers-in-law, William Martin and Paul Motko.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Marlyn Smith Schaffner; his children, Carol Hinchberger (Charlie), David Schaffner, Jr. (Sue), Stephen Schaffner (Michele), Tony Schaffner (Tracy) and Joseph Rossmiller (Danielle); his siblings, Bonita "Sis" Schaffner, Patricia Martin, Chrissy Motko, Bill Schaffner (Connie), Rebecca Mainwaring (Cliff), Jude Schaffner (Karen) and Frances McConnell (Sherwin); and his sisters-in-law, Donna Schaffner and Charlene Schaffner. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 146 N. Monroe St., Butler, PA 16001.
