It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Glenda M. Schaffner of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, born in Washington, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David R. Schaffner, Sr.; her parents, Glenn R. Smith and Cleone Marie Smith Dade; and her siblings, Thomas Smith and Anne Cronin.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Hinchberger (Charlie), David Schaffner (Sue), Stephen Schaffner (Michele), Tony Schaffner (Tracy) and Joe Rossmiller (Danielle); and her sisters, Diane Marie Engstrom (Phil) and Lisa J. Bates (Robert). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Martin Funeral Home (201 E Cunningham St, Butler, PA 16001). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church (125 Buttercup Rd, Meridian, PA 16001).
