She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert McKinney and Anne Louis McKinney; and her husband James "Russell" Payne. She is survived by: her children, Jon Payne (Joni), Joanne Yerkes (Pete), James Payne (Anna) and Jefferson Payne. She is also survived by twelve loving Grandchildren.
