We announce the death of Richard B. Ernest of Richboro, Pennsylvania, born in Salem, New Jersey, who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Hannah and Winfield Thompson Ernest; his wife Joan A.; the mothers of children, Carol, Pat and Karin Ernest; his sister Marion Macauley; and his brother-in-law Howard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol J. Bruckler (Joe) and Patricia L. Henzy (Jim); his stepchildren, Heather Wessner (Michael), Joseph Bannak (Krista) and Anthony Shumskas (Pamela); and his friend Mary Robinson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Addisville Church (945 Second Street Pike, Richboro, PA 18954). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:30 AM and at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Union Cemetery (209 Almshouse Rd, Richboro, PA 18954).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Memorial Fund of Addisville Church in care of the above address in honor of Dick's memory and his lifelong commitment to his faith community.
