The memory of Carl Mele of Richland, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid Carl farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Carl is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mele and Verna Dorbritz Mele; and his nephew Douglas Mele. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Liberati Mele; his daughter Lindsay Mele; his grandchildren, Zander Mele and Michalena Wolfinger; and his brothers, Harold Mele (Pat) of Lower Burrell and Kenneth Mele (Flossie) of Lower Burrell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lower Burrell Funeral Home (3124 Leechburg Rd, New Kensington, PA 15068). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Richard Roman Catholic Church (3841 Dickey Rd, Gibsonia, PA 15044).
