He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Zappa and Jennie Cantelupe Zappa; his wife Cheryl Sweeney; his cousins, June Pringle, Joseph Ranallo, Joseph Cantelupe and William Cantelupe; and his in-laws, Ralph and Martha Sweeney.

He is survived by: his cousin Paula Cantelupe of Sharon; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Craig of Chicora and Kathy Bowser of Butler.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Krise Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Ridgway (130 Center St, Ridgway, PA 15853). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
