He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Witcoski and Wasil Aponick; his son Robert Aponick II; and his granddaughter Dianna Aponick. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Aponick (Brennan); his daughters, Jodi (Mike Berry) of Catawissa and Angie (Bob Barr) of Orwigsburg; his grandchildren, Angie Houser (Grant), Dale Houser Jr. (Chelsea) and Senior Airman Robert Barr Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Kylee, Layla and Matthew. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob's Memory are asked to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
