He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hower and Ida Mae Hower (Roup); his wife Carol Welch; his siblings, Jennie, Velma, Marvin and Blaine; and his nieces, Ruth Ellen and Jeanne Rakow.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Sandra Gross; and his stepson Spencer Younger. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends including his caregivers.
