It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Porter of Rixford, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Porter and Ethel J. Walters Porter; his wife Maxine M. Morris; his son David Porter; and his siblings, James, Harold, Gerald, Viola Compton and Delores Schimp.
He is survived by: his sons, Roger Porter of Rixford, Kenneth Porter (Brooklyn) of Texas and Scott Porter (Jackie) of Nashville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Scotty, Amanda, Kennedy and Elijah; his sister Ruth Knight of Smethport; and his close friend Barb Green of Shinglehouse.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Frame Funeral Home (230 Main St, Eldred, PA 16731). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
