It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty J Root of Robesonia, Pennsylvania, born in Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 16, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeremiah Houck and Mary Houck (Kalbach); her son Robert K. Root; and her siblings, Mabel Houck Sarah Ulrich, Ruth Buckholz, Mary Hahn, Patricia Balczak, Clarence, Jeremiah, Paul, Donald, Ronald, Richard, Harold, Robert and John Houck.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis L. Root (Maryann), Timothy R. Root, Barbara L. Fidler (Dennis) and Sandra A. Lutz; her siblings, Rodney Houck, Harry Houck and Gloria Houck; and her grandchildren, Michele Grumbine (Daryl), Brian Fidler (Theresa), Tanya Turner (Chris), Chad Fidler (Marcie), Sonja Coulter (Robert) and Darren Fidler (Mandy). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; and a step great grandchild.
