He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth Long and Clara Long (Layser) of Robesonia; and his siblings, Sue Montgomery (Long) and Gordon Long. He is survived by : his wife Mary K. Long; his sons, Jeffrey B. of Las Vegas and Michael A. of Hershey; his siblings, Donald K. Long (Diane) and Jane K. (David Miller); and his sister-in-law Carol Koch. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
