He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin N. High and Verna High (Kurtz); his son Lamar B. High; his grandson Jonathan High; and his brother Mervin M. High.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille N. High (Burkholder); his children, Lorraine B of Robesonia, Lori B. (James Z. Martin) of Charles City, IA, Lucille B. (Lester Z. Horning) of Myerstown, Glenn Lavern (Delphine H.) and Lois B. (Kevin R. Sensenig) of Reading; his siblings, Leon M. (Katie M.), Melvin M. (Mabel W.), Clair M (Edna Mae), Elmer M (Miriam M.), Marlin M. (Rachel H.), Mary S. (Leroy G. Musser) of Lebanon, Luella M. (late Earl H. Hoover) of Bethel, Emma A. (late Elmer W. Zeiset) of Seneca Falls, NY, Rhoda M. (Earl N. Gingrich) of Lititz and Lois M. (Harlan H. Martin) of New Washington, OH; and his sister-in-law Martha B. High (Shirk) of Cantril, IA.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
