He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hess and Margaret Hess (White); and his daughter Brenda Bryner. He is survived by: his spouse Ysela Escala-Hess (Maria); his sons, Edward Hess (Lauren) and Lewis Hess; his grandchildren, Charlie, Courtney, James Perhach, Emma Bryner, Leah, Avaya, Joe, Nolan and Ava Grace Hess; his great grandchildren, Adalynn, Magnolia Perhach, Landon Barnhill and Arabella George; and his siblings, Jean Dudash, Arlene Holloway and Susan Angelucci. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
