Joyce Shaffer Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Shaffer of Robinson, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lonnie Brendlinger and Alice Brendlinger (Montgomery); her husband Dennis Shaffer; her son Dennis Shaffer Jr.; her great grandchild Hailey Quick; and her siblings, Kenny Brendlinger and Shirley Thompson.

She is survived by : her daughter Renee Quick of New Florence; her grandchildren, Scott Quick (Mary), Derek Quick, Erin Murin (Carley), Samantha Shaffer and Ally Shaffer; her great grandchildren, Skyler, Mason, Collin, Maddox, Helena and Phoenix; and her siblings, Sharon Lowther (Richard), Sandy Jarvis, Jim Brendlinger (Jeanie) and Danny Brendlinger (Emma).

“Joyce was very loyal, trustworthy and had a great strength about her. She had an incredibly strong will and was never afraid to speak her mind and point out if she felt something was wrong. She was a wonderful grandmother and always had the kids back. She wasn't a member of my family but she welcomed me as part of her family with open arms and I'm so grateful for that. She was always there for me when I needed her even when things were difficult. She was and always will be an inspiration to me.”
