He was predeceased by: his mother Luann Shafer. He is survived by: his wife Raelene; his children, Riley, Sutton, Ashdon and Aiden; his father Jeffrey Shafer; his stepmother Beth Shafer; his brothers, Aaron Shafer (Amy) and Clinton Shafer (Julie); his parents-in-law, Carl and Bev Holsinger; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Mayle (Andrew). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Community United Methodist Church (341 Jefferson St, Rochester, PA 15074).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Brandon's name to the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation to support the Naval Academy Fund to benefit of the Brigade of Midshipmen.
