It is with sadness that the passing of Eugene Ostavitz (Rochester, Pennsylvania) is shared. Eugene, born on September 18, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Eugene will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Eugene by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Eugene is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Eugene’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Hospital (Helen Ostavitz) and Beaver Hospital. He is survived by: his son Jason Ostavitz (Amanda); his grandchildren, Bryce, Tanner and Sophia; his sister Deborah Dorbish (Eddie); and his close friends, Albert Dulovich and Ron Dorbish. He is also survived by several nephews, great nephews and great nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Valley Christian Fellowship (935 Wallace Dr, Rochester, PA 15074).
