He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Richard Elphinstone and Rita Marie Elphinstone (Thompson). He is survived by: his siblings, Donald and Debra Kramer (Elphinstone); his wife Theresa Annette Elphinstone (Ranaldi); his children, Richard Frederic Elphinstone (Tina Renee (Mouridian)) and Annette Marie Elphinstone (Eric Bentz); and his grandchildren, Harley Rose Elphinstone and Roman Frederic Elphinstone.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc. at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park (273 PA-68, Rochester, PA 15074). A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park (273 PA-68, Rochester, PA 15074).
