We announce the death of Nelson L. Stover of Rogersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 84. Nelson will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his mother Maxine Stover Byser; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Jones, Ed Parson, Terry Jones and Nelson Bayles.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon R. Parson; his children, Jeff Stover (Sheila) of Rogersville, PA and Susan Stover (Vince) of Moon Township, PA; his grandchildren, Morgan Stover-Rizor (Isaac) and Linzee Stover-Gillin (Matt); and his siblings-in-law, Rick Parson (Marcie), Saundra Bayles (Norm) and Janie Parson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Behm Funeral Home (182 W High St, Waynesburg, PA 15370). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nelson's memory to The American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association would be appreciated.
