It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward W. Monroe of Ross Township, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Monroe and Jeannette E. Monroe (Jamison); and his siblings, John Monroe (Carol), Robert Monroe, Lois Black (Harry) and Thomas Monroe.

He is survived by: his children, Lynda M. Risnear (Steven), Laura M. Laybourn and Edward W. Monroe, Jr. (Soraya); his grandchildren, Michael Risnear, Christopher Risnear, Caroline Laybourn, Jeanie Laybourn, Kaelan Monroe and Amalya Monroe; and his siblings, Jean Boeh (late Urban), Eileen Flanagan (late Vincent), Madelyn Kennedy (late John) and James Monroe, Jr. (late Kathy).
