He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Marie Thomas (Fauth); and his brothers, DeMont Thomas, Jr., Wallace Thomas and Ronald Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Anita Hungate (Martin) of Virginia, Catherine Thomas of Ross Township, Margaret "Peggy" LaBella (John) of Plum Borough and Daniel Thomas of Arizona; his sister Sarah Bruce (Sue); his grandchildren, Erik Hungate (Sarah), Kristen Cooper (Jonathan), Tommy Maletick (Cindy), Deborah Komora (Chris), Kerri Dora (Gary), Allie Thomas and Dani Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Aedan, Aurora, Astrid, Leif, Rylan, Devlyn, Destiny, Kayleigh, Krista, Hanna, Carissa, Kinley and Bailey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
