She was predeceased by: her husband Louis C. Hein. She is survived by: her children, Shirley Moss (Tim), Louis Hein and Carol Settelmaier (Jim). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Rita's name may be made to Animal Friends or Disabled Veterans of America.
