She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Horvat Sr. and Mary Pivovarnik Horvat; her spouse Thomas Aten; her children, Mary Ann Aten and Thomas Aten Jr.; her son-in-law Scot Frow; and her siblings, Joseph Horvat (Mary), Edward Horvat and Marie DiBasilio (Frank).
She is survived by: her daughters, Catherine (Douglas Adamo) and Carol Frow of Rostraver Twp; her granddaughter Christine Adamo of North Brunswick, NJ; her great grandchildren, Hailey Adamo and James Adamo, Jr.; her sister Dolores; and her siblings-in-law, Charles Russo of Sun City, AZ, Fred and Linda Aten of Belle Vernon.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home - Belle Vernon (626 Broad Ave, Belle Vernon, PA 15012). A prayer was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church (624 Washington Ave, Charleroi, PA 15022). A burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The Family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Bernadine Aten to St. Andrew the Apostle parish or the Monessen Senior Center.
